The legendary rock musician, who recently became famous for his opposition to the current Russian government, Yuri Shevchuk, said that he would no longer participate in protest actions.
According to the leader of the DDT group, now the country and the opposition need other slogans. A simple and short call "Down with Putin" is no longer "rolling." In addition, Yuri Shevchuk advised the opposition to put forward not only political but also economic demands.
“The rule of the authorities and the serfdom of creative people must be overcome precisely through economic reforms,” he said in an interview with a foreign publication.
Now Yuri Shevchuk refuses to take part in rallies and actions is simple, and in the winter of 2011 he was one of the leaders of the protest movement.
