Identifying the strongest person is quite difficult. And not to be mistaken in the leader special official championships are held. Of course, only the strongest people of the planet participate in them.
There is something to strive for
For several years now, Lithuanian Zidrunas Savickas has been listed on the podium of the world power Olympus. In 2009, he became the strongest man on the planet, since then no one can break his record. Savickas was born on July 15, 1975 in the Lithuanian Stock Exchange. And as a child, he stood out among his peers for his height and strength. At the age of 14, Zhidrunas saw on the television among strongmen competitions on television and decided to become one of them in the future. At the age of 15, the teenager began to vigorously engage in power sports, and in his second competition he immediately improved the Lithuanian triathlon result.
Russia has its own competition for the title of the most powerful person in the country. Every year he collects a lot of observers, because the competitions are striking in their entertainment and emotionality. People come to watch the action not only from all over Russia, but even from neighboring countries.
For quite a long time, the strongman Elbrus Nigmatullin, a native of Bashkiria, was in the first place among the strong men of Russia. The athlete was born in the Chelyabinsk region in the village of Chubary on March 30, 1974. He began to show his strength in childhood. Elbrus at the age of ten pulled up about forty times, this is not even every adult can.
However, Elbrus Nigmatullin is famous throughout the country not only as an athlete, he is known as a political figure and actor. Stage career the most powerful man of Russia began on the shooting of the historical documentary film entitled "I did not die, Bashkirs!". There he played the role of the national hero Salavat Yulaev. In addition, the athlete participated in the filming of the television series "Yellow Dragon".
Elbrus was recognized as the strongest in Russia for four years in a row. In his piggy bank is not one world record. For example, in 2006 Nigmatullin on the Moscow River stretched the ship "Ivan Kalita" to 10 meters. The mass of the vessel was exactly 186 tons. Later this record was broken by him. The athlete extended a steamboat weighing 760 tons to 20 meters.
Sorry move over
In 2010, Nigmatullin did not take part in the “Strongest Man” Russian Championship. The reasons for the failure remain unknown. As a result, Sergey Kharlamov took the place of Elbrus. The competition of that year, which took place in Perm, was attended by seven athletes from different parts of the country. Absolutely all the athletes squeezed the weight, lifted the logs to the maximum weight, ran the baton with stones of 100 kilograms or more, and also turned over the tires, whose weight exceeded 320 kilograms.
Well, now the title of the most powerful person in Russia belongs to a completely different person. In 2012, Alexey Zolotukhin won the competition for power extreme in Perm. Athletes from Sarov, Vladimir, Chelyabinsk, Perm, Moscow, Krasnoyarsk, Saratov and Abakan competed for the prestigious title. The fight was quite spectacular and emotional. Athletes had to do six exercises, among which two relays.
Another exercise that the athletes needed to go through was the Shield relay race at a distance of 10 meters with a load of 200 kilograms and 8 turns with a tire of 350 kilograms. Zolotukhin again did not show the best time in this contest. As, however, in the third exercise, and this is a distance of 20 meters with a 380-pound load in his hands. In this task, the best time was 11 seconds.Agree, a mere mortal is too tough.
But the most not spectacular stage of the competition was the retention of the minibus "Mercedes", which weighed two tons. Here the best time was 46 seconds. And among the leaders again did not appear Alexey Zolotukhin. But after the fifth exercise, and this is Arm-of-Arm (this is a tractor weighing 8 tons), the results were completely unexpected. Alexey Zolotukhin, who did not show the best time in any of the stages, but was consistently in the top positions, broke into the lead.
After the last exercise, the final leader was to appear. At this stage of the competition, the strong men had to lift a stone weighing 160 kilograms and in 75 seconds turn and throw it the maximum number of times. The best result is seven times. This ball Zolotukhin threw in the 73rd second. And it was decisive in the match. Thus, the young man became the most powerful man of Russia in 2012. The result is unexpected for absolutely everyone.
By the way, the champion himself tells modest victory about his victory. He says that he was not going to compete at all.
“You know, I was driving to the Russian tournament with the idea of at least entering the top three. Still, the weight of other strongmen in competitions was very large (the other guys under 180 kilograms), and the tasks are quite complicated. In addition, the names of rivals are completely called “gold”: world champion Vladimir Kalinichenko, as well as Russian record holder Vladimir Muravlev. In general, I did not plan to go to the championship of this level and did not prepare - just my mentor Elbrus asked to go instead, ”says Alexey.
