Russian figure skater Evgenia Medvedev broke the world record, previously set to herself. However, at the same performance, her performance surpassed Russian woman Alina Zagitova.
Today, February 21, figure skating competitions among women singles were held in Phenchkhane. According to the results of the short program, Alina Zagitova and Yevgeny Medvedev respectively took the first and second places. Medvedeva spoke earlier and received a score of 81 from the judges, 61 points. Thus, she broke her own record (81.06), a few days earlier set at the Olympic Games in a team tournament. However, after a few minutes, Medvedeva's record was beaten by her rival Alina Zagitova, who deserved a score of 82.92 points.
At the moment, Russia is in 20th place in the medal standings: 3 silver medals, 9 bronze medals and not a single gold medal.
